I'm with Guscruz on this one, just watched this over new year on netflix and thought the movie was great entertainment. 
The 2 leads played their roles really well and suspense was built up over first half

Dune 2 last night, while I agree that its not as good as the first, for a 3hr movie (nearly) it flew by and kept me entertained throughout.

Hope the director stays for the next film, he's doing by far the best job with the Dune material of anyone so far

It is a very difficult job to translate this kind of source material into a good movie and I think Denis Villeneuve did manage to this.
I wish we could have seen the Jodorowsky version....

absolutly agree .... second half -- total writers shit ... and unbelievable situations, in whom characters were found themself ... but most viewed movie on netflix for last three years --- common people absolutly don´t have movie taste ....
